Along the 8 freeway going toward Arizona there’s a building almost out in the middle of nowhere called the IVC Desert Museum. You may have seen it and it’s 15 foot tall humanoid metal sculpture in the front.

Back in the early 2000’s I’ve always wondered what may be inside that building and when is it going to open it’s doors? 10 Years later I had look a bit closer while driving by and notice there’s somebody home.

It’s a pretty interesting showcase of old desert artifacts from the indigenous Indians that lived in the surrounding Ocotillo Desert. It’s complete with a gift shop and even a new computer lab to help kids learn about the history of their community.
